Kopffüßler Leipzig
A complete rebuild as a custom platform for a ceramics and creative workshop in Leipzig. Two websites, one shared booking system and an AI assistant that answers guests' questions and takes work off the studio's hands.

Many channels, lots of manual work
Kopffüßler ran on WordPress with the Divi page builder, and since early 2026 bookings went through the BookingPress plugin. That worked, and a large share of bookings already came in directly via the website. But as the programme grew, so did the requirements. Vouchers were meant to cover the whole programme and also be available as printed cards, bookings from the experience marketplace konfetti had to be entered by hand, and inquiries arrived in three different places via contact form, email and Instagram. On top of that, the belly bowls were to get a presence of their own.
One platform for website, booking and inquiries
Instead of adding more plugins, I rebuilt Kopffüßler from scratch as a custom platform based on Next.js. The website got a new, calm design, and a second website for the belly bowls was added. Both run on one shared portal where the studio manages courses, dates, registrations, vouchers, invoices and inquiries. An AI assistant answers guests' questions on the website and helps with day-to-day work in the portal. Everything has been live since 4 September 2026, including the customer records and vouchers from the old system.
A website of its own for the belly bowls
The ceramic belly bowls appeal to a very different audience than the creative courses. That is why they got their own website under the Belly Bowl brand at babybauch-leipzig.de, with the process, a gallery, details on clay and glaze and a guide to making the plaster cast. Inquiries and bookings flow into the same portal as Kopffüßler, so the studio keeps working with a single system.

What the platform does
Online booking with course finder
Courses run as recurring series, and the system calculates free places from the current bookings. The course finder guides guests to the right course, payment happens online via Stripe and the invoice is created automatically.
Vouchers online and as cards
Value vouchers with a freely chosen amount are available online, and printed voucher cards with their own code run in the same system. Any remaining balance simply stays on the voucher.
Sync with konfetti
Places sold via the experience marketplace konfetti are automatically deducted from the free places, and the platform reports its own bookings back. Availability stays accurate on both channels without retyping anything.
One inbox for everything
Emails, Instagram messages and contact form inquiries arrive as cases in one place. Every case has a clear status, and a draft reply can be ready on request.
AI assistant for guests
In the chat on the website, visitors ask about courses, free dates or vouchers and get an answer right away. The chat is clearly labelled as AI, and the way to personal contact is always right next to it.
Brigitte, the assistant in the portal
Behind the scenes, the assistant Brigitte helps out. She knows the courses, dates and all records, answers questions about using the portal and drafts replies to incoming inquiries. Nothing is sent without approval.
